It is yellow, has a black stripe on his back from top of his head to tail, his wings are black and white and feed of the nectar of a Red Hot Poker. Is it a Goldfinch. I have seen many pictures of Goldfinces, but cannot find this one. Can someone identify this bird for me?

PostHeaderIcon Can Someone Help Me Recognize This Bird?

I go running every morning, and yesterday I saw this bird for the first time, and I’d really like to know what’s it called.
So, I see a lot of white&black birds around, but this one was different.
It was quite big, about 15cm tall, with a long black tail that was white underneath and slightly on the sides. It’s belly was white as well, and generally it wasn’t one of those thin birds.
Anyone has an idea?
It was absolutely beautiful.
(I live in London, btw)

PostHeaderIcon Can Anyone Help Me Identify A Bird?

I was just curious. Someone on my local craigslist posted a picture of a bird that they are trying to identify. It looks to be the size of a parakeet and shaped the same, but it is bright yellow with a red bill and reddish eyes. Does anyone know what this small parrot might be? Any links would be appreciated.
