Birdwatching for Alzheimer’s Patient
Mom loves birds! We both became birdwatching addicts this spring when our usual haunts came alive with intense bird activities. Whether at home watching out the kitchen windows, driving through city streets, or at our many favorite park areas, Mom is always pointing out birds…their songs, flight, and antics. We have bird charts and books, but she doesn't remember their names. At least where the outdoors is concerned, this quickens her reaction time and sharpens her senses.
Birdwatching in Cyprus – hundreds of bird species to watch
Cyprus is an important stopover during birds migration in spring and autumn between Europe and Africa. More than 360 species have been recorded on the island, while a number of bird species (such as flamingos) use it as a winter refuge. Of particular importance are the Treaty of Ramsar salt lakes of Larnaca and Akrotiri.
